there were a few kind people who pointed out that our band was WAY better than the other bands. and that we were better than the morning session and everything.

some of them pointed out that there were a few reasons why we couldn't get GWHs, and the reasons were:
1. the percussions were too loud, which overpowered the band.
2. the whole band was too loud.
3. our balance was off, brasses were overpowering the woodwinds.
the third reason happened because of the hall's acoustics. the person who commented said that his school had the same thing happening to them too.
but at least, someone who said he was there for the WHOLE day, said "i thought that nygh did really good, maybe too loud at times, but they could at least manage a gold (with honours).other schools, some did pretty well. i thought some sounded better den those from the morning session, so im actually quite curious as to why they didnt get gold."

yayyayyay i can sit in the audience and watch seniors perform for syf!
:D i was one of th 5 lucky recruits/people-not-in-syf to get a ticket to sit in the audience while seniors perform(:
the others were xinyun(101, oboe), jityee<3(101, eupho), cheryl(2__, trumpet), ashley(10_, bassoon)
but after our performance, the seniors come out, put their instrus, and go into the audience seats there to watch 2 more performances before announcement of results.
2 out of the 5 lucky people will have to go out and guard instrus.
but still can watch performance from tv.
i mean, the others can also watch seniors perform on tv, but then LIVE and NOT LIVE is totally different.

[it might mean skipping school too. but maybe not.]
